We are three passionate and dedicated childcare professionals: Lisa, Sarah, and Sophie. Together, we bring over 60 years of combined experience across a variety of roles in the early years sector. Our diverse backgrounds include leadership, curriculum development, special educational needs support, and hands-on childcare. This extensive experience, paired with our unwavering commitment to nurturing young children, inspired the creation of EYC\u2014a place where every child is given the best possible opportunities to explore, learn, and grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our journey began with a shared belief that high-quality early years education should be accessible to all children, regardless of their background or circumstances. Having worked in a variety of settings, we witnessed firsthand the profound impact that a caring, supportive, and stimulating environment can have on a child\u2019s development. Motivated by this vision, we founded EYC to give back to the communities that shaped our careers, striving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today, EYC operates three nurseries across Derby, each situated in areas with diverse communities and families facing economic challenges. We chose these locations with a purpose\u2014to ensure that children from all backgrounds have access to the nurturing, high-quality care and education they deserve. Our goal is to provide an environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our approach prioritises child-led learning, fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in each child. Additionally, we invest in our team, providing continuous professional development and fostering a supportive workplace where our educators can thrive and deliver outstanding care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
