Derby Theatre<\/a> will be backing Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance<\/a> throughout its festive production Oliver Twist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reimaging of the Dickens classic will run until 3 January \u2013 during which the theatre will encourage audiences to back the charity\u2019s Reverse Advent Calendar initiative, donating food parcels to those less fortunate.<\/p>\n\n\n

The theatre will also be collecting donations to support Acts of Kindness, its pay-it-forward ticket programme, where donations allow it to offer tickets to shows for anyone facing barriers to attend the theatre and enjoy a shared creative experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the partnership, tickets to Oliver Twist will be offered to DF4TA to gift to families in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior project coordinator Deborah Jones said: \u201cWe\u2019re so grateful to the Derby Theatre team for taking part in this year\u2019s Reverse Advent Calendar and for inviting audiences to join in too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery tin, treat, and essential item donated represents care, compassion and solidarity within our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLinking this initiative with Oliver Twist is a perfect reminder that no one should have to go hungry or feel forgotten.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
