Armsons Barlow<\/a> has reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility through its recent pro-bono work supporting DIY SOS on its projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Derby-based project managers, construction cost consultants and building surveyors has been providing quantity surveying services, including materials take offs, assisting with specifications and construction advice on numerous projects that are currently being shown on BBC One.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This includes the special Children in Need episode, which aired on Thursday 13 November, which saw the DIY SOS team transform children\u2019s cancer support charity, The Joshua Tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first project Armsons Barlow supported was a special project in Aylestone, Leicester, for seven-year-old Isla, who lives with Mandibuloacral Dysplasia \u2013 a rare genetic condition that causes brittle bones, premature aging, and limited mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n

To help Isla live more comfortably and independently, the DIY SOS team, with support from Armsons Barlow, redesigned the family home to include specialist adaptations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The firm\u2019s involvement in DIY SOS forms part of a broader community-focused strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its Charity of the Year for 2025 is Derby County Community Trust<\/a>, the charitable arm of Derby County<\/a>, which delivers a wide range of programmes that use the power of sport, physical activity, education and inclusion to improve health and wellbeing across Derbyshire and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sally Walters, director at Armsons Barlow, said: \u201cWe\u2019re incredibly proud to support DIY SOS and to help deliver projects that have a meaningful and lasting impact on people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
