href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/university-of-derby\/\">University of Derby<\/a> has cemented Derby\u2019s reputation as a centre of innovation for transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compiled by researchers from the university\u2019s International Business School, this year\u2019s Top 200 Businesses in Derby and Derbyshire list features <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/toyota\/\">Toyota Manufacturing UK<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/rolls-royce\/\">Rolls-Royce<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/alstom\/\">Alstom<\/a> in the top 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Burnaston car manufacturer Toyota takes top spot in the rankings, with engineering giant Rolls-Royce in fourth and train-maker Alstom in seventh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top 10 also features construction firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/bowmer-kirkland\/\">Bowmer + Kirkland<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Top 200 2025 ranks all active and private sector businesses in the area by turnover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Thompson, assistant head of discipline and senior lecturer in accounting at Derby International Business School, who led on the report, said: \u201cIt is fantastic to see such strong, thriving businesses \u2013 many of which the university works closely with \u2013 featured in the Top 200 list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA unique combination of strategic location, advanced industries, skilled workforce and strong support infrastructure make Derby and Derbyshire an ideal place for businesses with global reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe city and county are home to some of the world\u2019s most successful businesses across a diverse range of sectors, and those listed are at the forefront of innovation and contribute to the regional and global economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img report highlights key drivers of the local economy, identifies high-growth sectors and celebrates home-grown success stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All data is based on company annual reports from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/\">Marketing Derby<\/a> Bondholders feature throughout the remainder of the rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the cusp of the top 10 in 11th is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/vaillant\/\">Vaillant<\/a>, the heating tech manufacturer which has sites in Belper and Derby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the University of Derby itself has been ranked 31st on the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Others inside the top 100 include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/ward-recycling\/\">Ward Recycling<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/mortgage-advice-bureau\/\">Mortgage Advice Bureau<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/clowes-developments\/\">Clowes Developments<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/embark-federation\/\">Embark<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/nk-motors\/\">NK Motors<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/ron-brooks-toyota\/\">Ron Brooks<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, beloved regional brands, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingderby.co.uk\/bondholders\/morley-hayes\/\">Morley Hayes<\/a>, continue to feature on the list, demonstrating the strength of Derby and Derbyshire\u2019s independent
