A programme run by Derby Book Festival<\/a> which aims to bring people together through reading has launched a new podcast series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its Shared Reading community programme has debuted a new podcast and is inviting submissions from local writers and prospective guests.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Shared Reading Podcast celebrates the joy of reading and the conversations it sparks. Hosted by volunteers it features local voices and authors from across the East Midlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katie Orman, Shared Reading project co-ordinator, said: \u201cIn our Shared Reading groups we see how reading short pieces together opens up honest, generous conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe podcast brings that atmosphere to a wider audience, inviting listeners to pause, reflect, and feel part of something shared.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next episode will be released at the end of January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
