Clowes Developments<\/a> has submitted plans to create more than half-a-million sq ft of space at a Derbyshire business park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The firm has lodged an application with South Derbyshire District Council for two units totalling 542,000 sq ft at Dove Valley Park, Foston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proposed development is being brought forward for an as-yet unnamed occupier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earthworks are already progressing under an existing consent to prepare the site for construction following approval.<\/p>\n\n\n

Clowes said the planning application reinforces its commitment to providing high-quality industrial and logistics space in the Midlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marc Freeman, development director at Clowes Developments, said: \u201cDove Valley Park continues to attract strong interest from a range of high-profile national and international operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis planning submission for two units totalling over half a million sq ft demonstrates our ongoing confidence in the site and its strategic location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe look forward to progressing the application with South Derbyshire District Council.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clowes said that further details about the occupier and development timeline will be \u201creleased in due course\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, a revision to the site\u2019s proposed Innovation Centre has also been submitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facility will serve as a central hub for all businesses in the local vicinity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Innovation Centre has been designed to draw people together and provide space for gatherings, informal meeting space and access to external areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be a cafe\/restaurant and amenity space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Innovation Centre will also serve as a place for start-up businesses and is being developed in consultation with the University of Derby<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
